This works so long as the shut down is in effect, but they won't be gone forever, and people will be pissed at you after the gov't crushes the car with all of their mail inside it.

Isn't the postal service deep in the red as it is? The gas, registration fees, and insurance would probably give the postmaster general (or whatever) a heart attack. Or are you going to be running the mail in this thing pro bono?
(Nevermind, you get a second one across the Pacific, and I'll make rounds with you; I'll take the east coast, you do the west.)

If they let me get one of these in here, id pro bono mail all day long.

id be one happy post worker if i could deliver in this thing. They wouldnt even have to pay me. all id ask for is the gas to be paid for.

If you ignore that fact that the government hates the car, it could save the mail service.
Mail vehicles get right of way and can go as fast as they please anywhere. Deliveries are made before shipping date, everybody sends mail to themselves just to see the car, profit.

You don't want to know how gross mail already is. The USPS provides plastic trays that businesses use to deliver bulk mail to the post office. These trays get rotated through the system and they are filthy. Don't put unopened mail on the kitchen or coffee table. The outside of the envelopes can be harboring bacteria.

I like this idea. Except that you can't fit a lot of trays in this car!
This is a case where wagon really is the answer.

Nice! And honorable mention to the Sultan's wagon. The fuel expense of using this puppy would require it to be used for the more expensive Priority Mail only:

We can use the non turbo fleet for mpg friendly services.

Aren't mail trucks usually RHD? There's another added bonus...

Lol that what i was alluding to. Seems no one picked up on it. Or they did. idk. hahaha
![]() 10/14/2013 at 12:08 |

its not RHD....

Lol, those are just bonuses. My plan was solely based on it being RHD... but now i have an even stronger argument.
